Electric Fetus will welcome Sting and Shaggy for a special appearance, including a Q&A and album signing, on Sunday, September 30 at 2pm at the store on 2000 4th Avenue in Minneapolis. The GRAMMY-award winning duo will soon embark on a North American tour in support of their dynamic, island-inspired collaborative album 44/876 (A&M/Cherrytree/Interscope Records), which has spent twelve weeks atop Billboard’s Reggae chart, and will perform at The Armory in downtown Minneapolis that evening.

Jake Rudh, host of Transmission on 89.3 The Current will moderate a Q&A with the pair, who will then sign copies of 44/876.

The Electric Fetus event is limited to 250 fans. 50 fans will get early access to the private event by purchasing a Super Deluxe CD of 44/876 (purchase available online only at www.electricfetus.com). 200 fans will get regular access by purchasing an LP (purchase in the store or online at www.electricfetus.com). Customers will receive one pass per Super Deluxe CD or LP purchased. Each pass allows entry for one person, and up to four passes can be purchased. Each attendee can have one item signed.

Sting and Shaggy initially joined forces to record a new song, "Don't Make Me Wait" as a tribute to the Caribbean sounds that influenced them both and ended up recording an entire album full of joyful uplifting and melodic music. With its title referencing their respective telephone country codes (44 for the UK, Sting’s birthplace and 876 for Jamaica, Shaggy’s place of birth), 44/876 honors the duo’s deep-rooted love for Jamaica.

The Electric Fetus event will wrap up in time for Sting and Shaggy’s concert that night at The Armory. The concert will feature the artists combining their bands to perform songs from their new album and also to collaborate on each other’s most celebrated hits such as “Every Breath You Take,” “Englishman in New York,” “Message In A Bottle,” “It Wasn’t Me,” “Mr. Boombastic,” and “Angel.” Tickets are available for The Armory show and select 44/876 Tour concerts via https://bit.ly/2s98UQw. Tickets for The Armory show are also available in store at Electric Fetus.
